Here are our top tips to make your wedding bar budget go further on your day without sacrificing on quality!

• Tokens  – Tokens are a great way of sharing your bar spend across your guests equally. This is a great way to ensure that one friend we all know doesn’t start propping the bar up or ordering rounds of shots! They are also a really nice way to also provide a favour for the day and even escort cards attached to their drink!

• Ditch the toast drinks. – Opt for more cost-effective shots or ditch the toast drinks completely and just ask your MC to ask guests to charge their glasses ahead of the speeches! We always see a lot of wasted prosecco so if your party aren’t too fussed by bubbles this can be a way to cut down on your budget!

• Tailor the Tab  – If you are providing an open bar to your guests you can tailor the drinks that can be redeemed against your tab. Some of our Clients opt to have beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks included but choose to have cocktails and shots paid for by the guests if they would like one.

• Variety with welcome drinks – Including a variety of options for example ice cold beers, crisp bubbles, cocktails and mocktails means you are catering for everyone whilst also reducing the budget V’s going for only cocktails and mocktails.

• Consider your wedding party – Do you have a lot of non-drinkers? Do your guests like wine? There are savings to be had with the wedding breakfast for drinks by tailoring these to the guests you have on your day rather than what is typically recommended.
